Just what we needed!

This weekend we went to a family reunion. We haven't seen this part of our family for several years. We have seen some of them on an occasion or two, but the majority we haven't seen for a very long time.

It was so great to see everyone. To see that life is progressing and that our family is strong.

We came from everywhere! Wyoming ... Texas ... West Virginia ... Missouri ...Tennessee, and locally too. We ate, shopped, played golf, ate, played trivia, ate, swam, ate, etc.... it was a wonderful time together!

When we say "family" we sometimes simply think of our immediate family or maybe our immediate family & grandparents. This weekend we realized (although we did already know it) that we have a huge, strong, extended family. In our hearts they are not extended at all, they are right at the center.

We are all different, we are all at different seasons and stages of life, but we are family. We are linked together.




We are grateful to be a link in this family. To be connected to such wonderful Grand Patriarchs (snicker) and everyone that's connected to them.

We were so encouraged by the love and support shown to us for our big move that's coming soon. It overwhelmed us. We know that "parts" of us are going and representing our family, that makes us very proud and yet it is very humbling too. What a big responsibility!

Thank you, family, for a great 'time-out'. It's exactly what we needed!
