Our stories AND YOUR stories too!

We definitely qualify for the role of the tortoise.

We are almost at the finish line!

But really it's just the beginning ...

We are finishing up itineration (just $3500 to go!) and beginning our journey and life in India.

We can't wait to be able to share all that we see. We can't wait to be able to make India become more real to some of you by being able to share our experiences. We are so thrilled to be able to be on this journey together.

It helps us so much to go knowing that you are here supporting us and "cheering" us on.

Sometimes, though, I think everyone doesn't realize how much we are cheering YOU on as well. It seems like if you go be Light on the other side of the world, it draws some attention. Yes, it has it's set of challenges, but it's what we are made to do. It's our DNA, it's what we were created for. We love the support, the encouragement, the interest ... but we can't seem to find a way to communicate how good it makes us feel when we hear good about you too! It goes both ways!

Like, for instance, today. We were able to go back to a place that we had visited last September. They were just getting back on their feet back then. They had a lot of vision and a lot of ideas. It was great to hear it all then ... but we came back today and so much of it had been done! It looked great, the people were excited, the place was thriving! We left there and our hearts were literally jumping, we were so happy for them.

We know that we need a lot of help (don't agree too much ... ha ha) but we feel so grateful to be able to be connected to so many people that we get to know and associate with.

So as we, the tortoises, continue towards the finish line just know that we can't wait to hear about your great finish line stories too!

You know it was the tortoise, not the hare, that won the race, so keep up the good work.

I had to ask your mom what IMHO stood for, as I don't know the blog lingo.

You guys have a good week.

Love you,

Darlene

Sometimes I feel like a tortoise too! I just have to remember to be patient, and just because I can't see it doesn't mean it's not there.
