Eid

Today has been a full day of Eid celebrations. It is a day to mark the remembrance of when God supplied the ram as the sacrifice instead of Isaac (or Ishmael, as some believe).

Have to say it's kinda gory. Above is a pic of the cow before the slaughter ... I won't post the after pic! :)

It's a community event. Everyone comes together and remembers this day.

What a learning experience for us! We love how they set aside days to remember such poignant and miraculous stories in the Bible, this is a great tradition.

We are engaging this area more and more as we look to be setting up the Center this coming week! It is ready for us to move in and begin. We don't know what the future holds, but we know what we are supposed to do and we are excited to do it.

Please continue to lift us up as we having been fighting illness and lost luggage. We are on the mend in both areas, but want it to be over completely!

We also had a wonderful Thanksgiving here, even turkey too! Had a house full of about a dozen great friends and had a wonderful time together. We severely missed being with our family, so we are thankful that there are others here to celebrate with.

Trusting your Thanksgiving was full of joy and lots of food too! Blessings ...
