Is it cold yet?

I'll start off by giving an update about our last post and needing help with our youngest. I can say that this week has been better! PTL!

We have NO DOUBT that the people lifting us up made all the difference for us. We, honestly, could feel it throughout the days when we were trying to decide and discern what to do as things would get a little crazy.

Yes, there have still been meltdowns and some 'where in the world did that come from' moments with our lively 4 year old, but it's been less frequent. And being 4, some of that is just, well, being 4!

We have seen a small shift, though, for sure.

This is huge!!!!!

Please continue to remember this situation, we know that there is more to 'work out' but it will happen, we know it will.

Ok, well for my next thought to blog about...

I am cold.

FINALLY!!!!!!!!!

After 2 months of sweating to death here (even the bottoms of my feet would sweat the instant I stepped outside ... h-o-t I tell ya' HOT! lol) we now have been cold, well probably more like a little chilly, for the first time in over 6 months ... since it was also warm when we left the States.

WOO HOOO!!!!

Now, I know everyone that is reading this that sees snow on the ground outside your window is thinking that I should be thankful for the warm weather, I am, but it's an answer to the little desires of my heart.

A couple weeks ago I was having a really hard time even getting myself to do things for Christmas since it felt NOTHING like Christmas.

I decided then that I at least need to feel cold, and that would help it feel more like Christmas for me.

Well, a couple days after I 'sent that request up' it got really WARM.

UGH!!!!!

I was so mad. In fact, the newspaper said it was one of the warmest winters (if we can really even call it winter) that they've had here in a while.

I was not happy. Good grief, all I am asking for is a little breeze, a little chill in the air... that's not so hard is it?

calm the storms ...

make a fish swallow and then spit up a whole person ...

convince someone to build an ark when it's a drought ...

bring a dead person back to life ...

I am not asking for anything like that!!!!!

Just for it to be cold. That's all.

cold. not warm ... cold!

Well, last night I was sitting at our desk and I realized my toes and nose were COLD!

I about jumped out of my chair I was so happy!

I am not sure what the low temp is, but mind you it's nothing close to what the midwest is experiencing, but at least it's just chilly enough to feel cold.

ahhhhhh ....

Merry Christmas!

Ha ha, I love this post! It's funny, even though it gets plenty cold here I can relate to what you were feeling.

Do you have air conditioning at all?

Well, I better go for now.
Merry Christmas!

Yes, we have air conditioning, but nothing for heat. Sooooo thankful for the A/C. Especially since my dad owned a heating and air conditioning company ... even our barn was air conditioned! So I am not very good at living without it, but it can be done and I have ... maybe while being a grouch but I have done it!!! Such a brat, I know, I know. ;-)

Funny. I am happy for you. I saw one of those shows where they talked about the heat index over there. WOW I can see why you wanted it chillier. You will have to share what the temperature is. Enjoy. There are some things we just need and comfortable temperatures are some of them.
So glad to hear about the itty bitty doing better. He probably was over the heat as well : )
