We were wondering what would happen ... N-O-W we know.
At midnight, lots of fireworks and music ... all still happening too and it's 1:30a.m. I think we are in for a long night!
Ok, but one funny thing happened too.
At about 10 minutes after midnight, our doorbell rang!
It made me jump!
My husband answered the door and it was the community security guard.
In the first moment, we think "ut-oh"
But then we notice his face ... he has a big smile and then without hesitation he shouts, "Happy New Year!" And gives my husband a big hug.
HA!!!! Now, that's something we didn't expect. I think he 'likes' us though, so that's good ... but did he knock on everyone's door? We wanted to watch and see, but it wasn't logistically possible. We wouldn't make good spies!
