The Land of the Living

Psalm 27:13-14

I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.

So many times I walk out my front door and I feel like all I can physically see is dirt and poverty. I look at the faces of the people riding in the auto rickshaws and all I see are far off stares with no expression. People exist here, they survive, but they don't really "live."

God spoke this scripture to me last week and I am so grateful for it. It says that I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.

So not only is this land full of living, but it will be full of His goodness. Through His goodness they will be able to truly live!!!

Then it says to "wait on the Lord" ... be strong and take heart ... and wait for the Lord. So it's in His timing. He has placed us here, He has a plan, He knows these people that our hearts break for everyday, He speaks their language. He is drawing them to Him in ways we cannot see, He is in control.

We must wait.

We have to wait on Him to put it all together. We are preparing, we are learning, and we are loving it. We are not wandering in the wilderness, we are building a boat.

Daily we share our joy, but we know that there is a bigger plan and more ways that He is orchestrating for us to dispel this darkness. We take heart and stand strong as we wait!

You encouraged me today with these words. You probably don't see the miracle that we "read" every time we see a new post. You have joy in the midst of this suffering. Joy in such dire circumstances. The Lord is blessing you to reach out.

Thanks for the good word

What a wonderful scripture God gave you and I know it must be very encouraging to you guys. It even encouraged me when I read it.

After seeing all the pictures you have shown us, which I'm sure were some of the better things you see everyday, I can't even fathom what it must be like there.

Isn't God so faithful, in that when He calls us to do something, He makes a way for us to get it done, and to be happy in the journey inspite of the hardships.

That has to be God, because we aren't made up that way. That reminds me of the scripture that says, I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.(Philippians 4:13)

Just know we are so proud of all of you, and we know God is going to continue to help you to dispel the darkness, and to show the light of His love.

We love you and we are praying for you.
